We are seeking a career-minded Clinical Manager to lead our clinic in our Taunton, MA, location. As the Clinical Manager, you will assist in the daily direction of patient care and flow of your assigned clinical location. As the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for the management of daily office operations to ensure consistency, flow, and achievement of individual and team goals, under the supervision and direction of the Associate Practice Director. You will interface daily with patients, physicians and office staff, while communicating and coordinating in a clear and professional manner. This is a working manager position where the Clinical Manager will assist in working up patients as an Ophthalmic Technician and will help check in patients as a Patient Service Representative as needed. Administrative time will also be available.

  Responsibilities:

• Oversee, train and supervise all front desk and technical staff operations to ensure compliance with company policies and all healthcare ordinances, including patient privacy; coordinating surgical procedures as necessary. Will also perform daily eyeglass prescription audits.

• Assist in the direction of physician and patient activities, acting as a liaison between the front and back office to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and overall efficiency of the office

• Seek out and identify areas of improvement regularly; research, plan, and develop action plans for immediate implementation

• Establish and oversee orientation, training, and GROW career development for all new hires

• Manage and enforce the safety and security of the workplace environment, along with the legal/regulatory compliance of the office operations

• Manage office and/or oversee staff scheduling, time, attendance, overtime and time off requests

• Lead, promote, and encourage a healthy and inclusive work environment through regular coaching, teamwork, and positive reinforcement

• Coach team members, providing constant support and areas for career development

• Evaluate individual performance levels through continuous performance management as directed by Human Resources

• Conduct disciplinary action meetings as appropriate

• Adjust training, processes, or staffing as needed to ensure a smooth workflow

• Manage office inventory of medical and office supplies to ensure cost and inventory controls are in place

• Run reports, lead huddles, and ensure that KPIs are met or exceeded 


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in the ophthalmology field
  • Strong organization and leadership/management skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team
  • Open availability to work, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends when needed
  • Advanced computer skills and EMR experience required
  • Positive attitude and stellar attendance history
  • Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making. Salary

  • $57,500 - $60,000 annually

This is an exempt position that is not available for overtime after 40 hours per week. Average expected weekly hours are 45 hours per week.

This position is located onsite in Taunton, MA. 

Travel to other locations may be required based on business need or for in-person meetings.
